God wants to renew our hearts and bring about balance in our lives. We serve a God of balance, and since God created humanity in His image, we are obliged by Him to obtain the same trait. The balance God enjoined believers to possess necessitates the keenness of both a lion and a lamb. Once we achieve that level of stability, we will actualize our maturation and become more competent in every facet of life. Without balance, we suffer. So, with an open heart, we must seek God's direction on how to achieve that sense of harmony. Only then, with our hearts open to God, will He renew our hearts and bless us with balance.
